Then we have a quick story about Peter healing a bedridden man in Bethel. Immediately following in verse 36 is the introduction to Dorcas. “At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. WebLuke begins the story: “In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor.” V36.
