While I can get two sticks to run in my FX 4300 PC, I can not got any to run in my Xeon rig or an i7 2600 rig. Please don't do it. It'll be money wasted.

The issue is that that is high density RAM. Older chipsets did not support high density DDR2 but later ones did.
