WebJun 26, 2024 · After I promoted the two virtual member servers to domain controllers, I noticed that the NETLOGON and SYSVOL shares were missing. SYSVOL, however, is showing up in C:\Windows, but isn't shared. NETLOGON isn't present at all. I'm really at a loss here, as I have tried just about everything to force those shares to appear. It isn't clear but if there are multiple domain controllers then restoring one from backup is not recommended. Cleaner / safer option is to seize roles to another healthy one. Then do cleanup to remove remnants of failed one.
